Day Camps
Quality care from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm.
Go Like The Wind Montessori Summer Camp programs
include a broad range of activities designed to meet the developmental needs of
children. Every day brings a balanced blend of learning and play, activities and
quiet time, group and individual experiences.
Preschool camps, for children
from 3 to 5 years of age, offer a variety of activities aimed at helping young
children develop social, intellectual, and physical skills.
Each week of the summer has its own theme. Children
participate in theme-related projects, lots of arts and crafts, science
experiments, dramatic play, cooking, gardening, gym and outdoor time, music,
stories, sports and games. Weekly guest presenters in the arts and sciences are
a feature of GLTW camps. Water is an important ingredient in the summer program:
when it gets hot, we go outdoors and get wet!
An afternoon rest or nap period is available for full-day
preschool campers.
Elementary camps provide a safe,
stimulating, and enjoyable environment for 1st grade to 9-year old children. Our
goal is to foster the growth of responsibility, self-esteem, and leadership
through activities generated by the children and supervised by responsible
adults.

Day Camp Registration - Apply now and save!
A $50 nonrefundable registration fee is required at the time of enrollment. The
registration fee will be applied to summer camp fees if it is received by May 1,
2008. Enrollment is open to all children. The registration form and $50 fee
should be mailed or delivered to the school. Acceptance is on a first-come,
first-serve basis. Each child will be enrolled according to the preferences
indicated on the form as long as space remains. If a particular session is full,
we will call you to discuss alternatives.
Staff
An experienced staff led by GLTW’s professional and certified
Montessori teachers and assisted by Montessori-trained staff will work with the
children this summer. These well-trained, intelligent, nurturing people bring a
wealth of knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to share with this year’s campers.
Payment Terms
Payment for campers enrolled for the entire 10-week Day Camp can be made in two
installments on June 18 and July 7, 2008. Full payment is required on June 18,
2008, for any campers enrolled for less than 10-weeks.
Refunds will be given only if another child fills the place.
All camps meet Monday through Friday with the
exception of the weeks 1, 3, and 10.
Extended Hours
The hourly charge for children who need to be at camp more than three hours, but
are not attending for the full day will be $4.85 per hour, billed to the quarter
hour.
Miscellaneous
Clothing should be comfortable and practical. Each child should also
bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.
An up-to-date Summer health form (provided by GLTW and filled out by
the child’s doctor) is required.
Children who stay through the noon hour need to bring a lunch
with a beverage. The school will provide morning and afternoon snacks. Due to
allergies, certain foods or food products may be restricted. Our staff will
inform you.
Enrichment Classes
Go Like the Wind Montessori School presents classes for kids of all
ages! These week-long camps provide a unique opportunity for children to try new
activities, develop new skills, and make new friends.
Terms for Enrichment Classes
Fees for each course, along with age levels and materials fees (if
applicable) are listed with the course descriptions.
Enrichment Class fees
must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. Refunds will be given only
if another child fills the place.
Extended Hours
Extended hours are available before and after most enrichment
Classes. Extended hours are available only to children attending Day Camp or
Enrichment Classes. Children may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and stay until 6
p.m. at the rate of $4.85 per hour.
Combining Day Camp and Enrichment Classes
Enrichment Classes can be combined with elementary or preschool Day
Camps. Day camp fees will be adjusted for children attending Enrichment Classes.
