Infant and Toddler: Criteria: None.
Admission consists of meeting with our Admissions Director,
touring our classrooms, and submitting the completed enrollment
form along with the applicable fee.
Preprimary: Criteria: Potty-trained.
Children between the ages of 3 to 6 years who are reliably
toilet-trained are considered eligible for our program. The "Kindergarten"
year is the third and culminating year of the preprimary program.
Elementary and Middle School: Students
preparing to enter the first grade of the Lower Elementary program
must turn age six by the first of October. Students who have
not previously attended Go Like The Wind at the elementary and
adolescent levels are asked to follow this enrollment sequence:
a family visit to our school,
a meeting with the Director of Admissions,
the applicant will visit the classroom for
two consecutive days,
receipt of GLTW evaluation form from previous school,
receipt of academic records from previous school,
and receipt of completed enrollment forms and applicable
fees.
Administration and teaching staff will then
determine placement.
Our programs, as much as possible, are balanced
with regards to age, gender, diversity, and Montessori experience.
Enrollment preference is given to:
returning students,
siblings of
current students,
students transferring from another Montessori program,
and new students.
waiting lists are maintained for each level.
We reserve the right to fill a vacancy out of
the enrollment sequence, if it will better balance a classroom.
Parents of prospective students must visit the
school. Please call for a convenient time, (734) 747-7422.
Financial Aid
Go Like The Wind Montessori School seeks to attract families
committed to Montessori education. To achieve that end, Go Like
The Wind Montessori School is committed to providing financial
assistance to qualified students whose families cannot afford the
School's full charges. The school does require that the
recipients fully merit their grants by their cooperative spirit
and positive approach to every aspect of their school
involvement.Because our financial aid resources are
limited, not all students who apply for aid will qualify.
Financial aid is first reserved for elementary and middle school
students. The state of Michigan makes funds available to families
of infant, toddler, and preprimary children. We encourage those
families to seek assistance first from the state agencies prior
to applying for our financial aid program. Financial aid
decisions are made independently of admissions decisions.
In order to be considered for financial aid, please submit an
application along with your most recent tax returns. The
financial aid program is open to students of any race, creed and
national or ethnic origin.To learn

Application Forms and Fees
Application forms may be obtained from the school office and may
be submitted at any time. A $50 non-refundable application fee and a
registration fee* is to accompany the application form for new students. An
application thus submitted places the childs name on a waiting list for
consideration as a vacancy arises. When a vacancy occurs, order of application
is observed within the limits of age and sex balance in the class. Then if the
parents indicate an interest, an interview is scheduled.
* Refundable only if school is unable to
accept the student.
