Dear Parents and
Guardians,
I would like to take this
opportunity to introduce myself as your son/daughter’s physical education
teacher for the 2007-2008 school year. My name is Christie Scott and I
graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in physical
education and a minor in health education. I am very excited and looking
forward to my first year of teaching here at Go Like the Wind.
At this point in time the
Lower, Upper Elementary and Middle School
students have
just completed their fall fitness testing. On October 10th,
we went to Huron High School for our annual mile run on the track. This is an
event that is
looked forward to every year and the kids
did a great job. Thank you to all the parents and staff who came and
supported us. Your presence was greatly
appreciated.
The pre-primary students
have been working hard on their locomotor skills. In order to advance locomotor
development, I ask if you could practice the following at home with your
children: hopping, jumping, galloping, skipping and running. The unit that we
will be focusing on next is balance.
Thanks,
Christie Scott
