Music

Music Director: John Churchville
At GLTW the music curriculum meets the needs of musicians at every age – from music circles and games in the Toddler program and Preprimary to concert bands and choirs for older students.
Studies suggest that music and movement:
- Nourishes the brain while affecting all areas of development
- Helps develop critical listening skills
- Strengthens motor skills, problem solving, and spatial-temporal performance
- Creates space for emotional well-being, while calming and focusing the mind
- Provides opportunities to practice social skills, instill acts of kindness and cooperation and encourage interaction in nonthreatening ways
